Gold Medal is not different from the former China Olive it once was.
From decor to food - interior/ exterior of this place is just the typical China Olive that was there for years.
Food is okay, nothing special - classic buffet food. They have a grill/soup area which is cool - the fresh soups are nice to order but nothing special. This place is very cheap for a buffet and I guess if you're craving simple chinese food this would be a great hit. Good amount of options - tons of seating...
There is tons of parking and the service is ok. -

This is a solid Asian buffet. At $15.99 for a weekend dinner there are plenty to eat to get your money's worth. For kids it's 1.20 x age starting from 2.
The good: huge parking lot, better sushi selection than other buffets, has a grill and a noodle section. This is less busy than the other Asian buffet spot nearby.
The bad: the food quality is just slightly lower than the nearest competitor. Maybe by half a star. I feel they more than make up for it with lower prices and everything I mentioned in the section above.
It's not going to wow you but it does get the job done. Give it a shot and see for yourself. -

Omg!!!! The food here is more horrible than horrible. All the entrees were not hot at all, I mean if the health inspector visited with a thermometer this place would shut down period. I took a bite of the beef broccoli and it was fridge cold. The chow mein was room temperature. The rice pot was something of a nightmare.
My son was eating the soup and he noticed that there was a knatt in it so I finally talked to the hostess that I was not happy at all. She said ok and I didn't have to pay so we left. Never again will I come here. Save yourself the time and money. -

Came here with my grandma, sister, two infants and one toddler. It was nice we got a booth kind of secluded so the toddler can run around and no one said anything. The service was nice. Although the food was okay. Over all not the best buffet I've been too. Not many vegan, vegetarian options. Good thing I'm a pescatarian now.
There is a big parking lot but I remember struggling from my car to the restuarant if you want to carry your baby in the carseat. Definitely should have brought her in the stroller instead. -

This place is absolutely disgusting. Food wasn't fresh. Everything was old and gross. Save yourself and don't come here.
